I’m going to describe a high-rise building in my neighborhood. It’s called Paradise Green City, located in Canada.

• Unlike other modern blocks, which are usually huge glass towers, the building is painted yellow, although it’s named Green City. The structure of Green City is not dissimilar to that of most buildings in Canada nowadays, with the bottom half used as a shopping center and the top half occupied by apartments.

• One feature that makes the building unique is that its trade center offers Canadian products only, with a view to promoting domestic products to Hanoi people and also to supporting national manufacturers. At the entrance of the building, if you look to the right, you can easily find a store named Masterchef bread, which serves traditional bread to people who just do not have enough time to go inside, so they line up waiting to pay.

• In spite of its prime location, however, Paradise Green City offers a reasonable price for its apartments, which are affordable for many middle-income families. From the building, we can enjoy the breathtaking scenery. So, if you are planning to find a place with a beautiful and peaceful view, or simply want to buy something traditional, Paradise Green City may be a good choice.

• (Dislike) What I don’t like about Paradise Green City, however, is that its design is neither eye-catching nor original. In fact, I personally find that it resembles Times City, a modern building nearby. Moreover, the paint color doesn’t match its modern structures, which makes the building somehow old-fashioned. And, the quality, as well as diversity of products on sale do not meet the expectations of most customers. So, I guess it’s the reason why the building doesn’t attract as much attention from the public as expected.

一.Poker face，不管，冷酷脸，我最帅!

二.OK...OK...OK...OK先生，总是打断我讲话

小编不止千次听到过抱怨了，“考官好烦，P 1的时候总是打断我，我刚说了个because，还未进入到我精心准备的正题呐!”，“今天考试，被打断次数，可围绕地球一圈!”可是，“烤鸭”们，有没有想过他们为什么打断你们?因为他们从你们的表达中，听到了老套!比如：”因为“就只有because, 我认为“一直“用I think，我喜欢“老是用”I think，“非常”重复very...... 然而”since, as ,for, for the reason that, due to that 等代替because ，I believe, from my perspective, in my view , I guess, I bet 等替换I think， quite, extremely等以及其他程度副词取代very......

当然，还有种情况，就是你听岔了考官题意，所以他没办法，只能打断你讲话，一般来说，负责的考官，会再说一遍题目，所以，不用慌张。

当然，据有些考生所说，个别考官全程表现很不耐烦，考生说不到一句话，就急匆匆地打断，对于这种情况，大家可以维权，找到工作人员，投诉他，你们的对话都是有录音的，一旦投诉成立，你将会有再一次的机会考试。

继OK先生之后，Why 先生也是一大吐槽对象，而且数量巨大，深究到更深层次的原因，大多数宝宝心里都很慌，因为很多素材都是网上积累的啊，或者瞎编的啊，这是骗你的，问我们“为什么”，所以，宝宝能做的就是考试一脸懵逼，考完尽情吐槽了。考官问你why，就是想让你多表达一些细节，或者他已经怀疑你是背的了，所以，这个时候，你绝对不能不耐烦，虽然内心强烈吐槽，但脸上要表现出”我很淡定，我很自信，兵来将挡，水来土掩“的强大气场，不慌不忙地解释原因，我坚信中国的烤鸭们编造能力是一流的，尤其是文科生。当然，在复习准备的时候，不妨设定场景自虐，想着Why先生会怎么问你，自己先把各种细节做好阐述，理由做好解释，让Why先生在考场无法发挥!

Well, this topic reminds me of the joke my friend told me the other day. It was hilarious and it really cracked me up.

It’s a story between a rabbit and a wolf. One day, the rabbit bought a cute hat, and on her way back home, she met the wolf who always gives her a hard time. The wolf hit the rabbit on the head real hard, saying, ‘Why are you wearing a hat?! / What the hell are you doing with a hat?!’ So the next day, the rabbit didn’t dare to wear the hat again, but when she ran into the wolf, the wolf hit her again, asking, ‘Where’s your damn hat?!’ The rabbit got confused and didn’t know what to do. So she went to the tiger to find justice. However, the tiger was actually on the wolf’s side, and he told the wolf not to bully the rabbit in such an obvious way, ‘You need to come up with a good reason to find fault with her. For example, tomorrow, you could ask her to pick flowers for you, if she got the red ones, you can hit her and say why don't you pick the yellow ones, and vice versa. 另外，当年费玉清老司机也给大家讲过一个好玩儿的笑话，就是“你追到我”减肥系列，网上也有相应的英文版，大家可以用起来。不过要注意一点，这种有重复情节的故事，在讲的时候一定要注意语言的多变，否则很容易给人一种“句式单一、记流水账”的感觉。

例如在介绍第一天的场景的时候，可以说：

A guy calls a company and orders their 5-day, 10 pounds weight loss program. The next day, there’s a knock on / at the door and there stands before him a voluptuous (attractive in a sexual way with large breasts and hips), athletic, 19 year old babe dressed in nothing but a pair of Nike running shoes and a sign around her neck. She introduced herself as a representative of the weight loss company. The sign reads, “If you can catch me, you can have me.”

Without a second thought, he takes off after her. A few miles later huffing and puffing (to breathe in a noisy way because you are very tired), he finally gives up. The same girl shows up for the next four days and the same thing happens. On the fifth day, he weighs himself and is delighted to find he has lost 10 pounds, as promised.

那么在叙述第二轮情况的时候，就可以换一下对减肥教练的描述：There stands the most stunning, beautiful, sexy woman he has ever seen in his life. 在表述“毫不犹豫就追上去”这个感情色彩时，用He’s out the door after her like a shot. 来替换上面的without a second thought, he takes off after her. “like a shot”表示very quickly and without hesitating. 当介绍“接下来的四天同样的事情发生了”的时候，用same routine替换same thing. 还有“他非常高兴的发现自己成功减肥”时，用much to his delight替换前文的he’s delighted to find. 等等。

这样的话，在grammar和lexical resource部分的分数肯定是不会低的。
